General Information
Referral
A referral from a physician or a nurse practitioner is required to see a specialist. Please contact your primary care provider to be referred to Dr. Khokhotva.
Consultation: your first visit
Once your referral is accepted you will be scheduled for a consultation with the surgeon. Depending on the medical issue, the consultation is scheduled either in our office or by telephone. We will notify you by telephone once you are scheduled.
- During a consultation your medical information is reviewed, treatment options are discussed, and a treatment decision is made.
- Remember to bring your current list of prescription medications and a valid OHIP card.
In some circumstances a consultation may be combined with a procedure during the same visit (colonoscopy, gastroscopy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, or a minor surgical procedure). If so, you will need to follow specific instructions provided in advance.

Mykola Khokhotva MD, FRCSC
Dr. Khokhotva is a general surgeon, practicing at the Lennox and Addington County General Hospital since 2014.

The oldest of surgical specialties, it remains diverse and continues to evolve.

What we do
Dr. Khokhotva performs emergency and elective surgical procedures. In addition to the core aspects of general surgery, Dr. Khokhotva has an interest in endoscopy and advanced minimally invasive surgery.
